Use of Management Information System for Performance Evaluation of Civil Servants
In the civil service, there is currently no scientific or systematic method for performance evaluation. The existing performance evaluation form tends to assign almost the same scores to all employees, which fails to distinguish between diligent and non-performing staff. As a result, hardworking and talented employees are often undervalued. My innovative idea is to develop an indicator-based Management Information System (MIS) to evaluate the performance of civil servants. This system will conduct fair, transparent, and evidence-based assessments of each employee based on weighted results from various performance indicators. The outcomes will be used to ensure just distribution of services, benefits, and opportunities, as well as to facilitate appropriate rewards and disciplinary actions. Ultimately, this approach will help build and develop a motivated human capital base, while promoting prosperity and good governance free from nepotism and favoritism.
