About

Narabhupal Magar is an innovative thinker from Solukhumbu who believes in utilizing Nepal’s natural resources to create sustainable and affordable alternatives to imported materials. With a practical understanding of material science and rural needs, his idea reflects a strong commitment to eco-friendly development and local production. Facing challenges in securing investment from banks—due to high equity demands—Narabhupal chose Idea Studio as a platform to pursue his vision with more accessible and supportive funding.

Business

Narabhupal’s idea, titled “Baas Bata Kath” (Wood from Bamboo), focuses on converting bamboo into solid, wood-like material that is stronger than aluminum and moisture-resistant. The process maintains the strength and durability of bamboo while giving it the form and usability of solid wood, making it an ideal alternative for construction, furniture, and various industrial uses. Compared to aluminum, it is more affordable, environmentally friendly, and promotes the use of locally available bamboo. His vision aims to reduce reliance on expensive materials, support local economies, and offer a greener, cost-effective solution for industrial and domestic use.
