Has done some research on the market size and has identified that most brands in Nepal only import the products rather than manufacturing in nepal. She got the idea after her mothers pregnancy and seeing her sew her own clothes. She has learned the craft herself from a learning period of 6 months. They source their fabric from a Nepali Udhyog. Already sold products to some of her contacts and has received good reviews. 1250 for a childs top and shorts set. She seeks to employ women from remote areas from underprivileged backgrounds to support.

Technology and Manufacturing of Plastic Sand Bricks

They create bricks with the use of recycled plastic and sand. 2 samples have been prepared as of yet. Currently planned for use on pavements and footpaths. Rs 8,000 estimated cost till date. They plan to check more types of plastic for feasibility.

Harvest Grow Nepal

Inspired by the story of a farmer named mani who couldn't expand his business due to the lack of investment and went to romania to work in a slaughterhouse. His business model is to finance agricultural products by connecting them to investors. They plan to charge investors in return for onboarding them. They also plan to provide farmer training in return for a nominal fee. They have partnered with government agencies as well as NGO/INGOs. They also incorporate insurance schemes in order to deal with unforeseen damages. They have identified that 30% of people leaving the country are farmers. They will procure directly from the farmer and take the responsibility of selling to the market at a good price.

Happy Snoopy Dog

She was inspired by the death of her puppy due to the lack of veterinary care in Bhaktapur. She wants to open a center that is open for 24 hours which is not the case in Bhaktapur but is prominent in Kathmandu.

Vermicast Organics

Vermicompost business where they are planning to start testing at Rani Ban. Currently providing training in the related field at his campus. Business can be started with an investment of 1.5 lakhs. Recently graduated. Has done a small market study by visiting farms and understands the great margins currently used in the market.

Project Wings to Dreams - Chain For Change

Joon was inspired by the idea due to his own struggles and seeing other visually impaired people face the same issues. He plans to create an aggregator for scribes and students. The app also involved indoor navigation for the visually impaired to guide them through. He has also created QR codes that will provide audio descriptions of physical structures through voiceover.

De-Vote

A decentralized e voting system that seeks to include the votes of people living abroad. 64 percent of absent voters are working abroad. There has been a directive by the supreme court to include nepalese living abroad during the elections but work hasn't been carried out for it as of yet. Inspired by his loved ones missing the election due to not being in the country during the elections as well as voting issues he faced while in Chitwan. They hope to save election costs as well as boost Nepali prestige abroad. They seek to align their values with that of ISN through innovation and environmental impact. They have won various awards and hackathons and their prototype is also ready. Use AI for facial recognition and document verification. They also include blockchain technology to verify users.

Micro mobility app that allows for the rental of electric scooters for short trips. The scooters will have hubs from which users can pick up and drop the scooters. Dr Tshering suggested changing the name to Mayur. Sadichha suggested partnering with electric scooter companies to use their scooters as well as using their showroom space as hubs.

He is a game developer, is 15 years old and has currently made 2 games already with thousands of downloads. He makes the games on his own with some help from his uncle.

The company provides instant loans of up to 3 packages (NRs 10,000, NRs 20,000, and NRs 30,000) at a nominal interest fee through a user-friendly online platform or mobile app. Key features include swift approval, flexible repayment options, and no collateral requirement, making loans easily accessible. With a transparent fee structure, Saapati.com ensures affordability for its student clients. Its revenue model relies on the interest earned from these loans.

They operate an instagram page named ‘Made in Nepal’ where they promote traditional products from far flung places on social media. Their page has more than 60 thousand followers and are still growing at a fast rate.

Paramendo’s initial work started in the north of Dhading by recycling plastic. They also recycle and segregate other waste products as well. They have created roof tiles from recycled plastic. They plan to move on to electronic waste later on and have partnered with KU. The tiles can be converted into other products such as chairs, tables etc.

They want to make fruit jam and ketchup. Just an idea as of now and has created a short business plan for now.

They plan to make convertible heels, and they have done a survey with their contacts regarding the product and received favorable reviews. They plan to use magnets and corks for the heel and the outer design will make use of hemps. They have contacted Nepal hemp houses to use their surplus products. The magnetic properties of their magnets do not wear down. Sadichha suggested looking into other upcoming shoe brands in Nepal to collaborate with them.

HULM-Handmade with love

Hulm currently makes keychains, flowers, wallets and other products as per customers demand. She marketed the products to the shops by herself. Mostly work alone except for when urgent orders need to be met. Hires 2 other people on a per piece basis to meet bigger orders. Also make socks and hats for winter. Learned the craft from her mother and youtube and has been practicing this for a few months. She plans to expand her business by hiring other craftsmen for a better wage than they currently earn. Started with Rs 500 and now also operates stalls at events. People come to her for personal and customized orders.

Animal Pellet Machine

They make machines that make animal pellets that are used to feed animals. The prototype is already ready to be made in conjunction with the National Innovation Center. He was inspired to make this as the product gets quite expensive by the time it reaches his village.it costs 50k to manufacture the machine and it takes around 2 weeks to 1 month to make. Currently operated as a monopoly in farms thus making the farmers slightly unwilling to buy the machine. They plan to approach wards for marketing.
